🤝✨ Working Together for a Safer Leyte! ✨🤝

Highlights from the Joint LCAT-VAWC & LCPC 2nd Quarter Provincial Inter-Agency Council Meeting, held on June 27, 2025, at the Leyte Provincial Government Complex. Leaders, advocates, and child representatives gathered to strengthen efforts against human trafficking, child po*******hy, and violence against women and children.

Special recognition to Mr. Mark Dave S. Lonzaga, the newly elected child representative during the recent Child Congress of Leyte and President of the Kananga Municipal Children’s Association Federation, who was invited to attend this important meeting to amplify the voices of children across the province.

Let’s continue building a province where every woman and child is protected, empowered, and heard. 🙌💙

Barangay Children's Association (BCA) Reorganization

The Barangay Children's Association (BCA) reorganization was successfully conducted in Barangay Masarayao on March 16, Barangay Kawayan on March 23, and Barangay Aguiting, Montebello on March 30, 2025. This initiative was led by Child Focal Person Ms. Diana Madjus of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and facilitated by Mr. Mark Dave Lonzaga.

The activity was attended by barangay officials, captains, and SK officials, demonstrating their commitment to supporting children's rights and welfare. The reorganization aims to strengthen the advocacy for children and empower aspiring child leaders to actively participate in community development through the association.

Isang makabatang araw sa lahat!

On March 9, 2025 (Sunday), the Barangay Children's Association (BCA) Reorganization was successfully conducted in Barangay Libongao and Barangay Naghalin. The activity was attended by children aged 12 to 17 years old and included a brief orientation on the BCA, followed by the election of new officers.

The event was facilitated by BCA Federation President, Mr. Mark Dave Lonzaga, and initiated by the Child Focal Person of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Ms. Diana Madjus. This initiative aims to strengthen children's participation in community development and promote leadership and advocacy for their rights and welfare.

📢 Barangay Children's Association Reorganization

On February 2, 2025, the Barangay Children's Association of Brgy. Tongonan successfully conducted its reorganization. The activity was facilitated by Ms. Diana Madjus, Child Focal Person of Kananga, together with Mr. Mark Dave Lonzaga, Kananga Municipal and Provincial Children's Association President.

The reorganization aimed to strengthen youth participation in community development, with the support of the Barangay Captains of Brgy. Tongonan.

Last January 25, 2025, the Barangay Children's Association of Brgy. Mahawan, Brgy. Lonoy, and Brgy. Natubgan underwent a successful reorganization. The event was facilitated by 𝙈𝙨. 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙟𝙪𝙨, Child Focal Person of the Municipality of Kananga, alongside the Kananga Municipal Children's Association Federation President and the Provincial Children's Association President, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘿𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙣𝙯𝙖𝙜𝙖 .

The reorganization aimed to strengthen youth representation and engagement in community development initiatives. The Barangay Captains of Brgy. Lonoy were also present to support the activity and ensure its success.

This significant step empowers the children of Brgy. Mahawan, Brgy. Lonoy, Brgy. Natubgan to become more active participants in shaping their communities.
