Our OPEC Kaamulan Journey: ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ณ๐ช๐ด๐ต๐ฎ๐ข๐ด ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐๐ญ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด๐ช๐ฏ๐จ๐ด ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ช๐จ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ด. โจ๐ซ
As December 2025 wrapped around us, we joined OPECโs nationwide simultaneous eventโ "๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ ๐๐ค๐๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ช๐๐ฃ๐ - ๐.๐๐๐ช๐๐ก๐ก๐๐๐ง ๐ผ๐๐ค๐ฅ๐ฉ ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ก๐ฎ" โ and in that moment, we understood that Christmas is not just about what we have, but what we give away from the deepest corners of our souls.
In this season of twinkling lights and joyful carols, we couldnโt ignore the quiet truth: not every family gets to feel the warmth of a full table on Noche Buena. As part of OPEC Kaamulanโs mission, our members across the area came together to adopt families, and we chose 9 in Bukidnon โ families whose stories had touched our hearts, whose struggles had made us realize how fragile and precious a simple meal can be. These packages werenโt just food; they were our prayers wrapped in plastic, our hopes tucked into each bag, a small piece of the blessing weโd been given, passed on with love.
The day we gave them out โ We will never forget it. The way their shoulders dropped in a soft sigh of relief, as if a weight theyโd been carrying for weeks had finally lifted. Teary eyes that glistened like stars, faces that shifted from disbelief to the brightest smiles Iโd ever seen, and "thank you"s that echoed deeper than any words could say. In those moments, we werenโt just givers โ we we're receivers, too, touched by their gratitude, humbled by their joy. OPEC Kaamulan has always dreamed of this: families uniting on Christmas Eve, their homes filled not just with food, but with the kind of happiness that only comes from knowing youโre not alone in the world.
This was our year-ender project, but it felt like a new beginning. For giving isnโt just about material aid โ itโs about mending broken spirits, restoring dignity, and wrapping a community in compassion. Itโs about reminding everyone that they matter, that their joy is our joy, that Christmas is alive in the bonds we forge with one another.
To every member who gave their support - "๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง๐ค ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ" will never be enough. May Jesus, the very reason we celebrate, shower you with more blessings than you could ever count, so you can keep spreading his love like a gentle flame in the dark.
