𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗨𝗦𝗠-𝗞𝗖𝗖 🌱♻️

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 – 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 (𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗞𝗖𝗖) 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀. Since 2019, USM has been implementing 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟰𝟳, which strictly bans the use of single-use plastics within the campus.

However, despite this policy, problems with improper waste disposal and plastic trash can still be seen around the school. Because of this, the 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗔𝗦𝗚) 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 — students, faculty, staff, and visitors — to follow the 𝗡𝗢 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗘-𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗬 and take responsibility in keeping our campus clean and green.

Plastics are harmful to nature and take many years to break down. By avoiding single-use plastics, disposing of waste properly, and choosing eco-friendly habits, we can all work together to create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment for the present and future generations of USM KCC.
