The Philippine Red Cross is a humanitarian organization auxiliary to the welfare services of the government. It is financed primarily by public donations and annual membership fund drive. Benguet Chapter is established on March 18, 1981 through the clamor of the Benguet people though the leadership of then Gov. The Benguet Red Cross continues, as it has in years past and according to its mission, to assist people who need it most. Through earthquakes, typhoons, landslides, and other disasters, we have persisted and responded as best we can. But we have not been exclusive in our assistance, rather, we have reached out to deliver Red Cross services to other Red Cross chapters, as may be needed.
