The Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH) has been officially recognized as one of the 2024 Highest Performance Rating Offices under the Category of 46–69 personnel by the Province of Iloilo Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE).

DRYLMH Joins the 24th Lambunao Binanog Festival Opening Salvo and Torch Parade

The Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH) proudly joined the 24th Lambunao Binanog Festival Opening Salvo and Torch Parade, marking the start of one of the most awaited annual festivities in the Municipality of Lambunao.

With bright smiles, vibrant energy, and a spirit of unity, the DRYLMH delegation marched alongside the Gama Integrated School Drum and Lyre Corps, adding rhythm and excitement to the colorful celebration. Their lively beats and graceful movements amplified the festive atmosphere, truly embodying the essence of the Binanog Festival—heritage, culture, and community pride.

The Binanog Festival is a grand celebration of Lambunao’s rich traditions and artistry, inspired by the dance of the hawk (“binanog”), symbolizing freedom and resilience. By participating in this meaningful event, DRYLMH continues to strengthen its bond with the community it serves—showing that health and culture go hand in hand in uplifting the Lambunaoanon spirit.

Creating Safe Workplaces: DRYLMH Joins Seminar on the Salient Features of the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313)

Last December 9, 2025, the Hospital Management Office of the Province of Iloilo spearheaded a seminar on the “Salient Features of the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313) in Government Offices” held at Sotogrande Hotel, Iloilo City. The event aimed to strengthen awareness and implementation of gender-sensitive and respectful workplace environments across all government hospitals in the province.

Atty. Doni June V. Almio served as the Resource Speaker, providing insightful discussions on the legal foundations, responsibilities, and preventive mechanisms mandated under Republic Act 11313, also known as the Safe Spaces Act or Bawal Bastos Law. The seminar emphasized the duty of government institutions to uphold professionalism, equality, and respect among employees and clients.

The activity was attended by representatives from the 13 District Hospitals of Iloilo Province, including their Chiefs of Hospital, Administrative Officers, and Chief Nurses. Representing Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH) were Dr. April D. Legayada, FPOGS, Chief of Hospital-OIC; Armando P. Casa, RN, MPA, MAN, Chief Nurse; and Pamela M. Losañes, Administrative Officer V.

The Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH), in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Iloilo Chapter, successfully conducted its final Blood Letting Drive for 2025 with the theme “Dugo Mo, Kabuhi Ko.”

Out of 52 willing donors, 40 successfully donated blood, contributing to the continuing mission of saving lives through voluntary blood donation. Most of the donors were hospital employees and relatives of pregnant women who regularly visit the hospital for prenatal check-ups and mothers’ classes — a true display of compassion and community spirit.

DRYLMH extends heartfelt appreciation to all who participated and shared a part of themselves to help others in need. Your simple act of kindness can make a difference and give another person a chance at life.

This much-awaited annual celebration brought together nurses and nursing attendants who continue to serve with compassion and dedication despite the long hours and challenges of hospital duty.

The event served as a heartwarming reunion—a time to reconnect with colleagues and friends, share laughter, and celebrate another year of service, resilience, and togetherness.

In a heartwarming and laughter-filled afternoon, the employees of Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH) gathered for a special wellness session titled “Wellness at Work: Feeling Good, Serving Better.”

Held at The Medical Pavilion on November 27, 2025, the session was led by the dynamic and inspiring Robert E. Ponje, RN, MPM, PhD, JD, MAN, who engaged participants in a conversational and interactive discussion on workplace wellness, emotional balance, and the importance of nurturing oneself to better serve others.

The atmosphere was light, filled with laughter, positivity, and genuine connection as hospital staff reflected on the value of self-care amidst the daily demands of healthcare service.
