🌟 DRYLMH Celebrates National Women’s Month 2026 with Pride and Purpose! 🌟

In line with the national theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” and the inspiring sub-theme “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, the Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH) proudly held its culminating celebration this March 2026.

We honored the strength, wisdom, and leadership of Filipina women — just like the ancient Babaylans who guided communities with courage, healing, and compassion. 💜

✨ Highlight of the Program:
Atty. Mary Florence T. Leda, District Public Attorney of the Public Attorney’s Office – Janiuay District Office, delivered an empowering talk on Women in Society from the lens of a woman lawyer.

She discussed vital laws that protect and uplift women:
• The Magna Carta for Women (RA 9710)
• The Bawal Bastos Law (Safe Spaces Act / RA 11313)
• Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC)
• Issues on Bullying in Women

Atty. Leda passionately reiterated the immense importance of women in shaping our world — as leaders, healers, protectors, and builders of a more equal and inclusive society.

Dr. April D. Legayada, FPOGS, Chief of Hospital II, graced the event and gave heartfelt praises and thanks to all the dedicated women employees of DRYLMH. She recognized their wholehearted service, compassion, and tireless commitment in delivering quality healthcare to the people of Lambunao and beyond. 👏

The celebration was filled with joy! Fun games, exciting prizes, and the sharing of beautiful purple cakes — the official color of Women’s Month — capped the program in a sweet and meaningful way. 🎉🍰

Today, we celebrate not just one month, but the everyday heroism of every woman who leads like a Babaylan — with wisdom, empathy, and strength.

To all the phenomenal women of DRYLMH and beyond:
Maraming salamat! You are the heart of our hospital and the soul of our community. 💜

DRYLMH Achieves Milestone with First Partial Hip Replacement Surgery

Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH) proudly marks another significant milestone in its continuing commitment to providing quality healthcare services with the successful performance of its first Partial Hip Replacement surgery.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Almar Bantolo, the hospital’s in-house Medical Specialist and Orthopedic Surgeon, demonstrating DRYLMH’s growing capability in delivering specialized orthopedic surgical care to the community.

A Partial Hip Replacement, also known as hemiarthroplasty, is a surgical procedure where the damaged femoral head of the hip joint is replaced with a prosthetic implant. This procedure is commonly performed for patients who have sustained hip fractures, particularly among elderly patients, to relieve pain, restore mobility, and significantly improve quality of life.

Following the hospital’s first successful procedure, a total of four (4) Partial Hip Replacement surgeries have already been successfully performed at DRYLMH to date. These successful operations highlight the hospital’s dedication to expanding its surgical services and strengthening its capacity to manage complex orthopedic conditions within the institution.

The achievement reflects the collaborative efforts of the surgical team, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals whose expertise and dedication ensure safe and effective patient care throughout the surgical process and recovery period.

With this advancement, DRYLMH continues to reinforce its mission of providing accessible, quality, and patient-centered healthcare services, allowing patients within the community to receive specialized orthopedic procedures closer to home.
