On March 18, 2025, a Laoag International Airport (LIA) security personnel proved that integrity is still at the heart of public service. LIA Lady Guard Rhea Taysa discovered a black leather handbag left behind on the gang chairs at the airport's arrival area. Without hesitation, she turned it over to the CAAP Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) office for safekeeping and verification.

An hour later, the rightful owner appeared to claim the bag, which contained cash amounting to P146,348, along with important identification documents. After a thorough verification process, the item was returned in its complete and untouched state. Grateful and relieved, the owner personally thanked and commended Lady Guard Taysa for her honesty and dedication.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines-Area Center I invites all interested bidders to Bid for the โ€˜Supply and Delivery of Van (for conversion into an ambulance and fitted with the necessary medical equipment and apparatus based on DOH guidelines) to be used at CAAP, Laoag International Airportโ€™.

Interested bidders may obtain further information from Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, Area Center I and inspect the Bidding Documents at Bids and Awards Committee Office, Concession Building, Laoag International Airport from 8AM-5PM, Monday-Friday.

A pre-bid conference will be held on 28 October 2024, 02:00 PM at the Bids and Awards Committee Conference Room, Concession Building, Laoag International Airport and/or through online (Zoom) .

Bids must be received by the BAC Secretariat via manual submission at the office address indicated above on or before 2:00 PM, 11 November, 2024.
