Don’t take growths in your skin for granted. Consult a Board Certified Dermatologist in your area for your skin lesion to be properly assessed… a skin punch biopsy or an excision biopsy can be done.

SF , at 11 months old, was initially seen on November 30, 2019 due to crusted patches on his scalp from scald burn on November 13, 2019. He was treated at Isabela Doctors General Hospital where accordingly, debridement was done 2x and discharged with topical medications. I saw him once for consult while on vacation here in Laoag. He was adviced follow up with a dermatologist in Isabela but was unable to because of inaccessibility.

SF, is now 6 years old, again on vacation to visit relatives in Laoag, a special child recently diagnosed with ASD. Burn area however, healed with cicatricial alopecic patches.

Prognosis for hairgrowth with this case is low. Possible cosmetic scar revision can be considered in the future, or micropigmentations.

POV: I am just happy to see him after 5 years and I wish him well with his therapy.
