SEA you for the CURE on April 24!

Freediving and yoga share two things in common: the centrality of the breath and the unification of mind and body with the world.
We present a new event offering a joint experience between yoga & freediving from beginner to intermediate levels.
It is a full day event with a variety of yoga classes and teachers, freediving lessons and social gathering with lunch. All this with access to a beautiful stretch of white sand and sheltered clear waters.

A SWIM IN THE METAPHYSICS OF LIFE- 04

Fear is one of humanity's base instincts. It is a healthy component of freediving. Simply being fearless is stupid and dangerous.
However, humans have the ability to control negative affect and perceived fear. It is how we manage that fear that makes all the difference.
I have realized that I don’t need to overcome fear. What I need to do is get the message and understand the true nature of fear.
Fear, anxiety, and worry occupy our minds in a similar way as darkness occupies the space in a room. It does not allow us to see things in a clear way. What do you do when you enter the darkness? You don’t fight the darkness. You don’t try to run away from the darkness. You don’t argue with the darkness. You observe, acknowledge and embrace it. By doing so you dismantle it and learn how to keep it in check.
Who knows fear but conquers it has heart.

CEBU OCEAN PARK FREEDIVING:
This event offers a direct in-water freediving exploration of the various species of fish present in the largest oceanarium of the Philippines. The species including: Reef Sharks, Giant Groupers, Eagle Rays, Sting Rays and many other species.
We implement strict regulations for the safety of both the divers and the marine life. A strict ethical code of conduct will be followed at all times.
*All animals in COP are licensed for and are homed in a large oceanarium suitable for them to thrive in.

PACKAGE:
-Day pass admission to Cebu Ocean Park (full day).
-Exclusive Freediving session (90min) with instructor.

PREREQUISITES:
This event is suitable for people with basic comfort in the water.

enjoy freediving safely within the limits of their experience.

Course duration and content:
• 1 Day (4-5h): Theory session, breathwork training, 1 open water session.

You will learn:
• Basic breathing and relaxation techniques
• Basic equalization
• Basic diving techniques and disciplines
• Safety & rescue

Prerequisites:
• Able to swim
• 18 years of age (16 with guardian’s consent).

PRICE (Including entrance fee and gear rental):
• PHP 2000.

CERTIFICATION (OPTIONAL): PHP 600.

BEGINNER FREEDIVER COURSE (AIDA2):
The Beginner Freediver Course is the foundational course of AIDA, covering the necessary skills and knowledge for a non-competitive recreational freediver to safely freedive with or without a
dive-line. It is a beginner course designed for students who are already confident in the water.
The purpose of the course is to familiarize the student with the skills, knowledge, safety procedures and enjoyment of freediving. Students will be introduced to the basic disciplines
of freediving: Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea, Free Immersion and Constant Weight freediving.

Course duration and content:
• 2 Days: 2 Theory sessions/Self study with knowledge review, breathing cycle exercises, 1 confined water session, 3 open water sessions, final written exam.
Study material will be sent to you after booking the course.

You will learn:
• Science of freediving
• Breathing and Relaxation techniques
• Equalization
• Diving techniques and depth training
• Safety & rescue

Prerequisites:
• Able to swim (basics)
• 18 years of age (16 with guardian’s consent)

PRICE (Including gear rental):
• PHP 8800.

CERTIFICATION (OPTIONAL): Once passed the requirements* you will be eligible for the certification. Cost PHP 1200.

*After the course: Minimum requirements for AIDA2 certification are: 2 min breathold, 40m horizontal swim underwater using fins and 12m vertical dive in open water. (Dont worry, it's not as hard as it may sound.) In case requirements are not completely fulfilled, You may choose to be certified AIDA 1, AIDA 2 Pool or complete your full AIDA2 within 12 month.

In Hatha Yoga they say that the mind is the king of the senses and the breath is the king of the mind.
Health is not to be mistaken for mere existence. It is the balance of the body, mind and self... there rests the mind. If the breath scatters, the mind wanders. If mind wanders, the breath scatters. So still the breath to still the mind. Mind is the king.

A SWIM IN THE METAPHYSICS OF LIFE - 01

This photograph is the first of many great moments. It was taken at an early stage in my freediving career during the time that the documentary “Free to Dive” was being filmed in the Philippines.
This Helen Keller quote speaks volumes because it addresses our modern dilemma in which man constantly strives for greater security at the expense of his freedom and humanity.
What would it mean for you to dive into the unknowns of life, untethered? Find the courage to take that leap of faith in your own life. In the end we regret the things we haven’t done more often than the things we do.
