However, morning clinic services will remain open as usual.

📢 IMPORTANT: Mpox Cases Are Increasing in the Philippines
🗓️ As of June 2025

Mpox (formerly called monkeypox) is spreading more in some areas of the Philippines. Here's what you need to know to stay safe:

🦠 How it spreads:

Through close physical contact (like hugging, kissing, or skin-to-skin contact)

By touching things used by someone with mpox (like towels or bedsheets)
👉 It does NOT spread through the air like COVID-19

😷 Do I need to wear a mask?

No need for community-wide masking, since mpox doesn’t spread through the air.

👀 What to watch out for:

Rashes or sores on the skin

Fever or flu-like symptoms may also appear

🏥 If you have a rash:

Cover it with clean cloth or gauze

Avoid touching others or sharing items

Stay in your own room if possible

See a doctor to get tested and properly checked

💉 Is there a cure or vaccine?

No specific cure, but most people recover fully on their own

There is a vaccine, but it's not widely available yet

✅ Key tip: Mpox can be prevented. Let’s all stay informed and protect each other by avoiding close contact when someone is sick.
