The journey we had in this council was unlike any other. When we were elected, I remember how we were still finding our footing—conscious of every move we made, constantly worrying whether we were doing things right, and whether we could truly handle the responsibility.
There was always that lingering doubt: 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥? But as time went on, we learned to lean on each other—to stop carrying the burden alone. At times, when the weight of responsibility felt overwhelming, it was the trust and support we gave each other that became our strength—the very pillars of our council. Honestly, it wasn’t just a council. We weren’t just officers, members, or volunteers. In them, I discovered a sense of belonging. 𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆.
Along the way, we had our share of misunderstandings, challenges, and even fights. But with each hurdle, we grew stronger—learning more about each other and ourselves, and building something real, built on trust. The RCY, this council, this family made significant changes to our lives. And I, we, will forever be honored and proud to have been part of this council.
To every volunteer who has been part of our council, we will be forever grateful for the trust and support you’ve given us throughout our term. Thank you for believing in us, for participating wholeheartedly, and for showing an unwavering commitment to volunteering. Your efforts in serving the community have never gone unnoticed. 𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳—𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. 𝘞𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶!
Now that our term has ended, it feels like 𝘢 𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺. I began this path uncertain and doubting my abilities, but upon reflection, I realized how fortunate I am to have this opportunity—one that many may never experience. From that moment on, I understood that 𝘐, 𝘸𝘦, 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴—𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙖𝙧 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨.
This journey wasn’t just a significant change in my life but for everyone around us as well. The RCY has taught me that 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙥𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚. 𝘞𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶!
Let’s continue making a difference in whatever way we can! 𝘌𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺, 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱—𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴, 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳.
