Graduation rites for SY 2019-2020 are POSTPONED.

With the extension of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon and in different parts of the country, and the continued restriction of DOH on mass gatherings, the graduation and moving up rites in basic education throughout the country is postponed indefinitely.

This means that the EOSY rites previously recommended to be conducted on the week of April 13-17, as per DO 02, s. 2020 and DM 42, s. 2020, are cancelled.

Schools, in consultation with the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) leadership, can decide to reschedule or forego the holding of the rites once the ECQ or localized community quarantine is lifted. If holding the rites will push through, DOH guidelines on mass gatherings must be observed.

As a preventive measure amid the 2019-nCoV health situation, DepEd suspends the conduct of its national and regional events scheduled for February 2020—including the NSTF, NFOT, and NSPC. Likewise, all off-campus activities as defined in DO 66, s. 2017 are suspended.

Official travels of DepEd personnel and learners for the month of February to countries with confirmed cases of nCoV are revoked. The temporary travel ban to the People's Republic of China and its special administrative regions remains in effect for all.
