Dental Mission 2024 Cebu and surrounding
Today Tuesday (November 5th)
Today we worked at the SVD kindergarten in Maghaway/Talisay. In the pictures you can see our Filipino assistants: Tata, who cleans and sterilizes the instruments and Nene, who assists at the treatment chair - both excellent and long-standing employees of our Dental Missions in Cebu.
We freed 35 patients from their painful and damaged teeth.
The treatments are free of charge; a donation is requested through a box set up.
There was also an unannounced visitor: the “bosses” from San Carlos/SVD wanted to see what we were up to, haha

Dental Mission 2024 in Cebu and surrounding
I started with my Mahindra Pickup loaded wth a foldable canadian army dental chair and a lot of dental extraction equipment with ferry boat to Dumaguete and frm Sibulan/Dumaguete with another ferry to Liloan/Cebu Island. I arrived in Cebu City at least frm Liloan after 4 hours, due to the bad roads and construction work.
The following Saturday I had some appointments with Leaders of San Carlos University, which are organizing the Dental Mission. I picked up in Mactan Airport during afternoon my colleague Dr. Uli Bolz coming via Singapore directly from Giessen/Germany .
Sunday was resting day for both of us, we visited only SM South.

DENTAL MISSION in Cebu City to serve and help poor people with Dr. Uli Bolz and his dental nurses Viktoria and Paula from Giessen, Germany
We were working two weeks in slums, several dumps, Community houses for street children, youth jail „Second Chance“, cemetary. We had about 480 patients and more then 1000 extractions
A huge thankyou to our local helpers Rina, Nene, Romeo and to Father Paul and Father Heinz from San Carlos University Cebu for the excellent organisation and hospitality
