One reason people talk about Kangen Water is the dissolved hydrogen (H₂) and its antioxidant activity. ✨
That’s different from antioxidants in foods like berries, green tea, and leafy vegetables, but the idea is similar: they’re all discussed in research in relation to oxidative processes.
In this photo, the tiny bubbles you see in the glass can be dissolved hydrogen gas, produced naturally during the electrolysis process inside a Kangen Water ioniser.
During electrolysis, water is separated into different streams. On the alkaline stream, molecular hydrogen can be generated at the electrode and dissolve into the water. Nothing is “added” — it’s a physical result of the process.
✅ Key points:
- No chemicals added
- Not carbonated
- Hydrogen may be present as a result of electrolysis
- Best enjoyed fresh after dispensing (dissolved gases don’t last forever)
