May 6, 2008 was when Road To Talk Therapy Center opened its doors to special needs families in Western Batangas. We only had 4 students for speech assessment that time. Fast forward to this day, 17 years after, we have served a thousand families and will continuously render service, offer quality and dedicated programs to hopefully change lives, one handwriting stroke, one letter, one word, one step at a time.

We are grateful for past and current clinicians, educators, staff, students who have welcomed us into their families and equally touched our lives.

Happy 17th Anniversary Road To Talk Therapy Center! Here’s to more years of aiming for true, inclusive practices and neuroaffirming care at home and in the community! 🥂✨🌸💚

In our Occupational Therapy sessions, we help adolescents develop prevocational skills to prepare them for future work opportunities. Denzell and RJ worked on assembling a wooden tray—and they did an amazing job! They sanded the wood pieces, glued them together, reinforced them with nails using a hammer safely, and applied varnish for a smooth finish.

This hands-on activity helped them improve their eye-hand coordination, work behaviors, fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, and their ability to follow multi-step instructions while building their confidence and independence. We are so proud of their hard work and determination.

Great job, Kuyas! Keep learning and creating! 👏💚

In the Philippines, February is recognized as National Down Syndrome Consciousness Month, as declared by Proclamation No. 157, s. 2002. This month is dedicated to raising awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of individuals with Down Syndrome. Organizations like the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, Inc. (DSAPI) lead events such as the Happy Walk to celebrate and advocate for persons with Down Syndrome.

Globally, March 21 (3/21) is observed as World Down Syndrome Day, representing the triplication (trisomy) of chromosome 21, which causes Down Syndrome.

Let's break myths and spread facts! Check out these advographics (advocacy + infographics) to learn more about Down Syndrome and the amazing individuals who inspire us every day! 💙💛
