𝐑𝐇𝐔-𝐈𝐈𝐈 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞

RHU-III conducted a lecture, written examination, skills demonstration, and return demonstration on aseptic technique for all staff to strengthen knowledge and competency in infection prevention. The activity emphasized the importance of strict adherence to asepsis in maintaining a sterile environment, preventing cross-infection among patients and healthcare workers, and ensuring the safety and quality of services delivered by the RHU. By engaging staff in both theoretical and practical assessments, the training ensured not only understanding but also mastery of critical skills such as proper handwashing, correct use of PPE, handling of sharps, waste segregation, and maintenance of a sterile field. This initiative highlights the RHU’s commitment to upholding DOH standards, promoting patient safety, and fostering a culture of quality healthcare.

𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 !

A successful Medical and Surgical Mission was recently conducted in Barangay Lasip, made possible through a strong collaboration with PhilHealth and the dedicated support of the Barangay Lasip Officials, led by Punong Barangay Rolando Tuazon.

A total of 112 patients benefited from the initiative, receiving free medical consultations, PhilHealth registration services and essential medicines, including vitamins and maintenance medications.

As part of the mission, 12 patients also underwent minor surgical procedures—such as the removal of small cysts—which are often unavailable in standard community healthcare facilities.

This mission reflects the continuing commitment of Mayor Iday Castaneda to her health agenda, which prioritizes inclusive and equitable access to quality healthcare, especially in remote barangays.

With the continued cooperation of national health agencies and local government units, the LGU of Lingayen is steadfast in its mission to deliver vital health services directly to the communities that need them most.

Ang Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment o TPT ay isang gamot na ibinibigay sa taong na-expose sa isang Tuberculosis (TB) patient.

Mabilis ang transmission o pagkalat ng TB dahil maaaring maipasa ito sa pag-ubo, pagbahing at pagdura.

Ang TPT ay napatunayang mabisa at ligtas na paraan para maprotektahan ang mga high-risk individuals at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng TB.

👩‍🍼 Mother’s Class for Our Expecting Moms 🤰💖

Our RHU recently conducted a Mother’s Class for soon-to-be moms from Barangays Namolan, Wawa and Quibaol, highlighting our commitment to maternal health and safe motherhood. 💕

Midwife-in-charge shared vital lectures on prenatal check-ups, immunization, breastfeeding, and family planning—equipping our moms with the knowledge they need for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. 🩺📚

To support their journey, Buntis and Newborn Kits were also distributed. 🎁

🚨 DOH: ‘WAG GUMAMIT NG DOXYCYCLINE NANG WALANG RESETA🚨

Ang doxycycline ay isang antibiotic na ginagamit laban sa Leptospirosis.

Kapag mali ang pag-inom, pwedeng mawalan ito ng bisa laban sa mga mikrobyo at maging mas mahirap gamutin ang simpleng impeksyon. Pwede itong humantong sa matagal o mas matinding pagkakasakit.

Nakadepende ang pag-inom ng doxycycline sa exposure o risk level ng taong nalubog sa baha.

Payo ng DOH, magpatingin sa doktor para sa tamang reseta sa paggamit ng antibiotic na ito.
