Typhoon Julian has intensified and is now packing maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h, gusting up to 135 km/h, with a central pressure of 975 hPa. The typhoon is currently located 275 km east of Calayan, Cagayan, moving north-northwestward at 15 km/h.

- Signal No. 3: Northeastern portion of Babuyan Islands (Babuyan Island)
- Signal No. 2: Batanes, mainland Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, Apayao, and northern and central Ilocos Norte
- Signal No. 1: Ilocos Sur, parts of La Union, Abra, Kalinga, Ifugao, and Mountain Province

Julian is expected to approach the Batanes and Babuyan Islands area by 30 September. A landfall in Batanes or Babuyan Islands is highly likely.
The typhoon is projected to intensify further, possibly reaching the super typhoon category within the next 24-36 hours.
