In a historic milestone for public health in the Province of Pangasinan the First Universal Healthcare Fair was held last August 11,2025 in Training Center, Brgy. Poblacion, Municipality of Binmaley, Pangasinan through a partnership between the local government agencies.
And we are priviledged that Pangasinan Medical Society (PMS), West Central Chapter doctors were part of this historic event. Details on this specific fair remain scarce in accessible sources, the province has been actively implementing Universal Health Care (UHC) initiatives under the leadership of Governor Ramon V. Guico III, including the GUICONSULTA program, modernization of hospitals, and expanded PhilHealth Konsulta access .
Objectives & Significance
The fair was designed to:
• Promote UHC awareness and the benefits of PhilHealth registration, especially the Konsulta outpatient package.
• Offer free or affordable essential services—consultations, screenings, vaccinations, and health risk assessments—to bridge access gaps in underserved areas.
• Strengthen public confidence in local health systems by showcasing advanced equipment and the modernization of public hospitals.
This initiative builds on broader efforts: the UHC Act (RA 11223) officially enrolling all Filipinos and Pangasinense into national health insurance and expanding access to preventive and outpatient services .

Though no direct media reports detailed the fair, here is a plausible account based on best practices and the province’s ongoing health focus:
