KEEP SAFE ⚠️‼️
✅ MPOX Prevention Guidelines
1. Avoid Close Contact
• Avoid close, skin-to-skin contact with people who have a rash or symptoms consistent with mpox.
• Do not touch the rash or scabs of a person with mpox.
• Do not share bedding, towels, clothing, or utensils with someone infected.
2. Practice Good Hygiene
• Wash hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• Avoid touching your face, especially eyes, nose, and mouth, with unwashed hands.
3. Safe Sexual Practices
• Mpox can be transmitted through intimate contact, including s*x.
• Reduce the number of s*xual partners, especially if mpox is spreading in your area.
• Use condoms and other barriers, though they may not fully prevent transmission.
4. Isolation of Infected Individuals
• Anyone with suspected or confirmed mpox should isolate until all lesions have healed and a new layer of skin has formed.
• They should avoid contact with others and pets.
5. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Healthcare workers and caregivers should use gloves, masks, gowns, and eye protection when caring for infected individuals.
7. Disinfection of Surfaces
• Regularly clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may have come into contact with an infected person.

📍 If You’re Exposed or Symptomatic:
• Contact your local health authority.
• Isolate and monitor symptoms (fever, rash, swollen lymph nodes).
• Seek medical care and inform your provider about potential exposure.
