For me, the greatest "thank you" a doctor can recieve is when he/she sees his/her patient SMILE..πŸ₯°

1 month ago, a patient consulted in our clinic due to 3 months history of easy fatigability and chest pain. She had previous consultations already but she continued to be symptomatic. When i saw her lab tests and 2d echo i explained to the patient her cardiac condition. Tears begun to fall down as she was afraid she will not be able to see her child graduate. I tried to comfort her and told her as long as she will be compliant to the medications i prescribed her and do proper diet and exercise, that her condition will improve even if she has a weak heart. She left the clinic that day crying..

Today, that same patient came for follow-up. She was already waiting for me in the clinic as i had to make rounds pa. As soon as i saw her, she was different. She was smiling..And when i asked how she was, she said she was very happy as her symptoms improved and now she can do household chores which 2 months ago was a burden for her. She thanked me again and again but I said I was just an instrument by God to make her feel better. She left the clinic today SMILING..and she left my secretary in tears..hehehe πŸ₯°

Being a doctor is difficult..most of us have not enough time for our family and even for ourselves..most of us have no time to eat or get enough rest..most doctors are tired..but just a smile from our patients takes it all away..πŸ₯°
