I created a little "poem"/narration in video about a recent experience. 💖

"I spent a couple of days at my Happy Place.

The view was breathtaking and I was having the time of my life.

Every cell in my body was awaken.

Every bit of me, reverberating with joy.
I grabbed my phone to remember the moment...
When I was feeling so elated.

I wanted to remember myself in my environment.
In my right environment.
One that nourishes my soul.

The scenery was beautiful.

But as I turned on my camera, I ended up recording myself instead.

And I was blown away by my own beauty.

I was glowing.

In my true nature, in this place that was nurturing to me, I was just as beautiful as the sceneries I was admiring.

I wanted to remember that.

How often have we been told not to admire ourselves so much because it is self absorbed or narcissistic?

When we are the first ones who should truly acknowledge our own beauty, our existence.

This is me remembering that space. This is my little way of honoring and acknowleding myself.

To remind myself of what my true nature is and how truly impactful it is the be in the right environment."

When I became a yoga teacher, I carried on the mission of my teachers to make Yoga accesible by bringing it to the communities.

This was the first time I taught in tagalog/taglish and despite that, it was clear to me that the language and benefits of Yoga is UNIVERSAL.

SOS Retired Mothers, Staff, and Teens joined us for this session. 🤗

The theme that was evident during this session was about cultivating internal wisdom by listening to our bodies. 💖

Thank you SOS Children's Village for welcoming me in your home. It was an honor to practice yoga with all of you. 🏡

Santosha or Contentment can be a hard thing to practice, especially if you're like me and you constantly see areas of improvement or what I prefer to call as potential. And Santosha, while it translates to contentment, has so much to do with acceptance -
"What is simply is."

When we see it in this light, it embraces potential while having reverence for the way things are now. 🙏
