On June 6 and August 12, 2025, volunteer residents of the UP Venerable Knight Veterinarians Fraternity conducted an exposure trip to the Philippine Jockey Club in Padre Garcia, Batangas, with a focus on equine practice.

In a field where the majority of veterinary students pursue small animal medicine, this activity offered a rare opportunity to gain direct exposure to equine practice, thereby broadening professional perspectives beyond the conventional companion animal route.

The program featured lectures and demonstrations from Knight Dr. Ariel Bombio, who shared his expertise in equine radiology, and Knight Dr. Lorenzo Agustin Ticzon, who imparted his valuable knowledge and guidance on equine practice. Such opportunities are seldom encountered within the academic setting, making them invaluable to the professional growth of aspiring veterinarians.

The Fraternity extends its deepest gratitude to Knight Dr. Ariel Bombio and Knight Dr. Lorenzo Agustin Ticzon for their generosity in sharing their time, expertise, and commitment to advancing veterinary education.
