🔍 MYTH vs FACT: Pap Smear Edition

📌Ang Pap smear ay isang screening test para sa cervical cancer. Sa test na ito, kumukuha ang healthcare provider ng sample o cells mula sa cervix para i-examine under a microscope. Tinitingnan kung may abnormalities.Nakakatulong din ito makita ang ilang infections at inflammation.

❌ MYTH: Ang Pap smear ay ginagawa para linisin ang matres.

✅ FACT: Ang tunay na purpose ng Pap smear ay para sa cervical cancer screening ,HPV at para makita kung may abnormal cells o infection sa cervix (kwelyo ng matres). Hindi ito pampalinis ng matres.

💡 Tandaan: Pap smear is a screening test, not a cleaning procedure.

⚠️ Symptoms na Dapat Magpa-Pap Smear o Magpa-Check ng Cervix ⚠️

❌ Tandaan: Pap smear is mainly for screening (kahit walang nararamdaman), pero kung may ganitong sintomas, mas lalo na dapat magpakonsulta:

🔹 Abnormal vaginal bleeding
— Pagdurugo kahit hindi regla, after in*******se, o after menopause.

🔹 Unusual vaginal discharge
— Malabnaw, mabaho, may dugo, o kakaibang kulay.

🔹 Pelvic pain
— Pananakit ng puson o balakang na hindi related sa regla.

🔹 Pain during s*x
— Discomfort o sakit tuwing nakikipagtalik.

🔹 Persistent lower back pain
— Kapag hindi maipaliwanag at paulit-ulit.

🔹 Pangangati o irritation sa intimate area.
🔹 Pamamaga o redness sa paligid ng ari.
🔹 Sakit o burning sensation kapag umiihi.

✅Kung may symptoms ka, mas mabuti na magpa-consult agad sa OB-GYN para sa tamang diagnosis at treatment.
