Halimbawa ng scoliosis ay ang misalignments o ang maling posisyon ng mga buto, mula sa leeg hanggang sa balakang. Kapag mali ang posisyon ng isang vertebra, ito ay nagke-create ng maliit na kurba sa spine at kung maraming vertebra ang mali ang posisyon marami rin o maaaring malaki rin ang kurbang idudulot nito sa Spine, na nagdudulot ng matinding pananakit, pangangalay at discomfort sa katawan.
