Module 2 of our in-house learning series was facilitated by Teacher Micah, OTRP — an SOS-Trained Feeding Therapist after completing the Assessment and Training Using the SOS Approach to Feeding conference last February 12–15, 2025.

With over 7 years of occupational therapy practice, she also serves as the Clinical Director of Transitioning Kids Therapy Center and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Developmental Psychology at Ateneo de Manila University.

In this module, our team deepened their knowledge and skills in assessing and providing interventions for children with feeding concerns. We explored how to assess children who refuse certain food, understand the developmental skills required for eating and feeding, and apply practical, evidence-based strategies to improve children’s eating and mealtime participation.

“Play is where children develop adaptability, confidence, and problem-solving skills. It’s where they learn to navigate risk, build friendships, and trust their own ideas. It’s where their brains and bodies work together, shaping the skills they’ll carry for life.”

What do you see when a child is at play? Running, building, creating, pretending—these are the moments that catch our eye. But just beneath the surface, something much deeper is happening.

Play is where children develop adaptability, confidence, and problem-solving skills. It’s where they learn to navigate risk, build friendships, and trust their own ideas. It’s where their brains and bodies work together, shaping the skills they’ll carry for life.

The next time you watch a child play, remember—what’s visible is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much happening underneath!

On February 2, 2025, our therapists attended the Cerebral Palsy Modules: Spastic Quadriplegia Seminar-Workshop at Hong’s Children Center for Cerebral Palsy in Pasig City.

Guided by Bobath Pediatric Basic Course Instructor, Ms. Araceli Socorro S. Estose, PTRP, we gained deeper knowledge in assessment and handling techniques to better support children with cerebral palsy spastic quadriplegia.

Grateful for this opportunity to learn and grow together as a team. 💫
