The Local Government Unit and the Local Nutrition Council of Magarao, Camarines Sur headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Philip Salvador A. Señar, together with the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Irvin Phillip G. Ablay, MD and Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Jovito E. Aspe, RN joins the nation in celebrating the 48th Nutrition Month with the theme,

"NEW NORMAL NA NUTRISYON, SAMA-SAMANG GAWAN NG SOLUSYON!"

The Local Nutrition Council of Magarao believes in strengthening nutrition interventions and solidarity towards nutrition improvement as the country shifts towards living with the COVID-19 virus.

The theme signifies the key role of nutrition in building resilience from pandemic to endemic paradigm. The term "new normal" was adopted to indicate a transition to a better normal while bringing the positive impacts of the pandemic to become more resilient and prevent future pandemics. The pandemic has made a huge impact on nutrition, such as disruptions in delivering nutrition and related services, increased hunger incidence, etc.

The negative impact of COVID-19 on health and nutrition has been pervasive and undeniably challenging to different sectors. But there are also positive impacts such as innovation in service delivery, home food production, increased awareness of one's health and consuming healthy diets, and solidarity amongst the people to help each other.

Dakula ang samuyang paghanga at paglaom na mapadagos sa pagtabang asin pag tawo serbisyo an mga volunteers, Nasaksihan mi na ang pagburunyog asin pagkasararo asin tyaga kan satuyang mga mga LGU personnel, volunteers hale sa iba-ibang organisasyon, contact tracers, mga indibidwal na nagpalista, mga indibidwal na nagtao interes, oras asin tyaga, matuturing na bayani sa pag prontera sa panahon na sabay sabay ta linalabanan ang Covid19. Bayanihan Bakunahan fast-tracks vaccination outside Metro Manila in a bid to reach 70% population protection nationwide. An Executive Order from Malacanang declaring the days of November 29 and 30 and December 1 as “National COVID-19 Vaccination Days” as well as a department circular from the DOH with the guidelines for Bayanihan Bakunahan will be issued in the coming days.
