The Ateneo de Zamboanga University - School of Medicine continues to take the lead in medical education through community-based experiential learning.

Driven by compassion, the Batch Manus Dei Patriae (English: Hands of God and Country) engaged with communities in the Municipality of Mahayag for eight months, embracing a holistic approach to bridging health gaps.

The process of inspiring change was also a valuable opportunity for growth for the socially accountable physicians in the making, helping them understand what it truly means to love and serve.

The short film provides a glimpse into the transformative journey undertaken by the batch as they worked to realize the mission of ADZU-SOM: to help provide solutions to the health problems faced by the people and communities in Western Mindanao and beyond.

We are eternally grateful to our Boniao family, especially the ever-supportive Barangay Captain, Hon. Erlinda Tapere and Barangay Secretary Ma’am Vivian Loyola for coming to Zamboanga and celebrating this milestone with us.

Batch Accomplishment Report presentation at AdZU

The batch was tasked to present the Community Health Plan (CHP) accomplishment report to the Levels I, II and III of Ateneo de Zamboanga University - School of Medicine last July 24, 2023. This aims to share to the lower years the activities and programs done by the medical students during their stay in the community and hopefully insipre them to serve their respective communities as well.
