Let’s debunk & clarify some commonly misunderstood or misrepresented psychology terms.

The general rule of thumb for figuring out if something is ’pop psychology’ is that the statements will be very simplified and sound like they are applicable to everything and everyone. Real human psychology & behavior is nuanced and it’s difficult to make sweeping generalisations and statements that would be accurate for every situation.

If you notice someone using this code, it’s important to check in on them and offer support, as it can be a crucial moment to provide care and encourage open conversations about mental health💚
