Alviar, a US Trained Medical Technologist, established the very first Alviar laboratory in Paco Manila ( Biomedical Laboratory). Since the beginning, its objective is to deliver fast and accurate results yet reasonably priced for every Filipino family. Alviar also established the "Watch-Your-Health-Movement" medical mission program in the same year. The program involves sending a team of dedicated medical technologists to far-flung provinces to provide low-cost diagnostic testing. Due to its unique “Alviar" way of service, the laboratory quickly gained popularity. Hence, three more branches were established - St John Medical Laboratory in Makati (1982), FG Alviar Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. in Sucat (1992), and Alviar Medical Laboratories, Inc in Filinvest, Alabang (2013). Constantly improving and expanding its services, its Makati branch is now a one-stop-shop medical hub. Services include multi-specialty clinics, drug testing, Xray, ultrasound, and 2D-Echocardiography. With its socio-civic programs such as “Preventive Healthcare Lay Fora", “10+4 Free Medicine Program”, “Free Medical Consultation”, and “Alaga Para sa Edukasyon Program”. The Alviar group of laboratories will continue to innovate and go beyond “being just another diagnostic laboratory". In every Alviar Medical Laboratory - technology meets humanity... that’s the Alviar way of service.

The Alviar group of laboratories started in 1972 when Faustino G. Alviar, a US Trained Medical Technologist, established the very first Alviar laboratory in Paco Manila ( Biomedical Laboratory).
