On September 7-8, Pascific visited the region of Pampanga going over Green City Medical Center, Central Luzon Integrated Oncology Center (CLIOC), AUF Medical Center, Sacred Heart Medical Center, and The Medical City - Clark. While meeting top oncologists in the region and finding state-of-the-art modern facilities, Pascific addressed the growing needs for access to precision healthcare in Central and North Luzon.

We discussed the value of precision healthcare, the availability of clinically guided test options, and how we are improving access to this in the Central Luzon area.

Pascific had a roundtable discussion on August 23 with Philippine General Hospital (PGH) medical oncology fellows at Healthway QualiMed Manila on the value of precision healthcare. We discussed molecular tumour boards, interpretation of complex tests, and ways to provide access to these molecular tests to all income classes in PGH and across Philippines.

Pascific attended the Cebu Cancer Fair of the Cancer Experts: Philippine Society of Medical Oncology (PSMO), held on on August 19, at the SM Seaside Mall. The event was attended by top oncologists in the region, and more than 600 members of the public, including cancer survivors and those undergoing cancer management. Pascific helped to provide education and easier access to genetic counselling, genetic cancer risk assessment and precision healthcare.

On July 28, Pascific was invited to attend the AstraZeneca Oncology Summit at New World Makati Hotel as a patient support laboratory partner. There was a lively engagement with both top and emerging oncologists on testing options for recommended clinical guidelines and for new medicines.

Pascific hosted a roundtable discussion with Gynaecologic Oncologists in Makati on July 14. We discussed ways to improve the quality and uptake of best testing practices and next generation sequencing for ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancer, and how Pascific is facilitating that beyond just testing.

Our laboratory director, Dr Jennifer B Torres, was invited as a guest speaker for the first webinar hosted by St. Joseph Healthcare Center on 26 May. She imparted knowledge of Precision Healthcare, the process of obtaining tumour DNA, frequently mutated genes in certain cancers, and the importance of cancer genomics for treatment strategies. The session ended off with an engaging Q&A session on genomic tests made accessible to Philippines.
