Dear Daddy,

It’s been a week since we laid you to rest, those 2 days went by like a blur.
Growing up you never liked to see me sad or cry, even when you were shot and lying in the hospital years ago you told me not to cry. (I’m trying my best but forgive me if every now and then I find myself in tears when I remember you. )
So on the day we laid you to rest, I put a brave face on and went to a work event to receive an award and token of appreciation, knowing in my heart this is what you would want me to do.

My 18th birthday you told me, “I’ve given you roots to cling to and keep you safe and strong and now I’m giving you wings to fly and seek your destiny”.
The person I am now would not have been possible if not for the values, the roots and the wings you have given me.
So this award is for you daddy, I hope I have made you proud.
It’s now your turn to fly to the Lord’s embrace.

Til we meet again, I love you so much and I’m forever in your debt. ❤️❤️❤️

Extremely honored to again be a 💉 mentor of the Merz APAC Collegiate Experience Sharing network for this FY 2023-2024.
Even happier that I get to know and meet the mentees this year instead of just faces in virtual boxes. And I get to learn and share the stage with my fellow mentors .yok.foreveryoung and dr. Agnes Warchalowski.

Each mentorship program allows me to learn and expand my knowledge not just from my fellow mentors but from the mentees as well. Truly a wonderful but humbling experience.
