We must turn to GOD with our awareness that we should work on our personal conversion with humility so that with the HOLY SPIRIT we can live a fuller life. Pride and hypocrisy are the biggest blunders that prevent us from achieving our goal. Let us then take advantage of Lent to rediscover ourselves and cultivate the spirit to serve our one and only Master with a humble heart.

To feel GOD's love and mercy is an awakening for us to share the same compassion and kindness to everyone. Let us always be just and fair in our measurements to others. JESUS does not stop us to turn a blind eye to others' wrongdoings but HE doesn't want us to immediately think that the evil intention is there, thus judging others. Remember that the LORD sees our hearts.
Let's reflect the mercy we have received from GOD in the way we deal with others.

JESUS's transfiguration is a confirmation of HIS glory.
HIS conversation with the FATHER through prayer manifests GOD's plan until its fulfillment in the death and resurrection of JESUS, the incarnate SON.
Transfiguration is the ultimate and definitive experience that inspires us to direct our focus, beyond the temporary upsets of the cross, to the eternal upheaval of the resurrection.
Let us turn to the transfigured LORD, strengthen our faith and not lose hope as we confirm our own transfiguration.
Act as GOD's instrument, that through your actions HIS light may shine for others to see.

"You must be perfect as your HEAVENLY FATHER is perfect."
True faith always aims at perfection. It is living a life according to the statutes and commandments of GOD.
Part of the perfection requires a total love even for those you may consider your "enemies" and those who "persecute" you.
The LORD shows us an incredible way of loving everyone with HIS heart without choosing who to love. Love everyone and follow JESUS' example of loving.

JESUS calls on us to have peace and pray for those who we have anger or hatred with so we can open our hearts with the grace of forgiveness. HE wants us to know that our true conversion cannot be fulfilled if we are filled with negativity and hatred.
We should always pray for forgiveness and love of our enemies and for compassion and mercy for others.
May our words and actions communicate peace, reconciliation and love.

Conversion leads to prayer thus leading to a conversation with GOD. Persistence in prayer and trust in HIM never go unrewarded. GOD listens and will bestow upon us that which is best for us and that which enables us to give HIM the greatest glory in life.
Let us trust in HIS goodness, persist in prayer, and show HIS love to others knowing that our HEAVENLY FATHER will always give us what is best for us.

In a world full of turmoil and greed that lacks patience, compassion and understanding among other things, having a conversation with the FATHER through prayer is the only thing that will lead us each day to become better children of GOD, if we allow it to change us. We must learn to forgive others if we want our prayer for forgiveness to be effective.
Prayer is not just a matter of reciting prayers or making some supplications but is a matter of realizing, relating, and reforming. It does not depend upon the quantity of words but the quality of faith.

Temptation lurks at every opportunity, especially when our heart's desire is to follow JESUS. Embrace the opposite virtue of the sins you are most tempted with this Lent.
Choose kindness if you struggle with anger.
Choose fasting if you struggle with gluttony.
Choose generosity if you struggle with greed.
Whatever struggle you encounter, focus on the virtue you need the most so you can be well-prepared to reject the evil one and his lies when faced with it.
GOD allows us to face difficulties, not to feel HIS absence, but to draw us closer to HIM.
Be with us, LORD, when we are in trouble.
