Saw this circulating and I am devastated for her. Before we demonize the product or the doctor (worst, the patient), please know that complications can happen with any product even under expert hands. The particle of Juvelook, PDLLA is actually small and injected intradermally, it is relatively safe on that plane. The variant used is Juvelook Volume or Lenisna can be used as a filler. The same way Radiesse (CaHa) can be used as a filler or when diluted, as a skin booster. Like cross linked or non cross linked Hyaluronic acid, skin boosters work but the possibility of an intravascular occlusion should always be in mind. A good doctor must be prepared to handle the immediate signs of this happening. Remember, vessels are interconnected. Regardless of product, PRP, HA, CaHa, PLLA, PDLA, PLC, collagen or fat, once they are accidentally injected into the vessel, these unfortunate complications can happen. Pain, blindness, change in color are signs that must be taken seriously. I hope for healing and resolution for Esther. BRAO may improve over time. Let's pray for her and hope for the best.
