NOT EVERY WOMAN IS CALLED MOMMY!🤣
A Lesson on Specific Naming

Some of our little friends tend to generalize words. For example, calling all women MOMMY and all men DADDY!

Here’s a tip on how to teach your child your specific name. Do it as long as your child enjoys the game. 😊

One of our parents said she got so tired (and a little dizzy) from all the jumping and acting. But it was worth the effort because finally, her child learned that she was his one and only Mama!

TEACHER SHAR’S TIME TO SHINE!

Already practicing as an occupational therapist for 8 years, Teacher Sharleen Palomograduated in 2016 from the University of Santo Tomas. She then completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2022.

T. Shar chose OT because of her early exposure to the rehab department due to her father’s stroke. Pediatric OT was not her first option, but she eventually found great passion in treating children and in so doing, discovered her inner child. 🩵

To add, she has certifications in Developmental Play and Multi-Sensory Structured Language Approach to Remedial Reading. She is currently pursuing certification in Learning Without Tears.

It is also interesting to know that T. Shar can understand basic Korean and a little Japanese.😊

IT’S TIME FOR A HAIRCUT!

We are delighted that Lael had a positive experience at the salon!

Having a haircut can be overwhelming for some of our little friends. The frightening sound of sharp scissors right behind the ear, the buzz of clippers, the salon’s noisy atmosphere, hair falling all over your face, physical touch from a stranger -all these may lead to anxiety and intense resistance.

Teaching Lael how to self-regulate had a lot to do with his salon success! Good job Lael!

Teachers Ray, Don and Marco finished a 21 km Spartan race in Calamba, Laguna last August 2, 2025.

Just like your children, they ran, jumped, crawled, did monkey bars and climbed a wall.
