TIPS 🤔
To get out of bed after a massage, gradually roll to your side, use your arms to push yourself up, and take your time to avoid dizziness or lightheadedness, which can occur due to relaxed muscles. Remain in the position for a few moments to let your body adjust, then consider gentle movement or a leisurely walk to maintain flexibility and prevent stiffness.
Getting Up From the Massage Table
Take a Moment: After your massage, allow yourself to sit up slowly and take a few deep breaths. Your muscles will be very relaxed, and you may feel a bit dizzy if you move too quickly.
Roll to Your Side: Gently roll onto your side.
Push Up with Your Arms: Use your arms to support yourself and gradually push yourself to a standing position.
Post-Massage Aftercare
Hydrate:
Drink plenty of water to help your body rehydrate and flush out any released toxins.
Move Gently:
Engage in light activity, such as a gentle walk or simple stretches, to keep your muscles loose and prevent stiffness.
Listen to Your Body:
If you feel tired, take the opportunity to rest or even take a nap, which can help with recovery.
Avoid Strenuous Activity:
Refrain from intense exercise or workouts for a few hours to avoid undoing the benefits of the massage.
Communicate with Your Therapist:
Talk to your massage therapist about how you're feeling to get specific advice on aftercare.
