This 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, we are invited to pause, to listen, and to walk gently with the earth. In harmony with this year’s theme, “𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻,” we recognize this sacred time to live in gratitude and responsibility for our common home.

At Kapawa Co., our mission is rooted in the same spirit: to nurture community, sustain Indigenous livelihoods, and care for creation. Here, every cup shared is a step toward hope. A space of engagement, reflection, and serenity within the Jesuit Retreat House, Impalambong Malaybalay City.

It’s been almost a month since Kapawa Café reopened, and today we were graced to welcome Ms. Gretchen Ho—a woman whose convictions meet every conversation.

Over warm cups at Kapawa, chat flowed—with laughter, reflection, and intentionality. Beyond coffee, Kapawa is a space where ideas bloom, connections deepen, and dreams quietly take flight.

Like Gretchen, a true Woman in Action, we believe in the power of collaboration to uplift and empower—especially our Indigenous communities. Every conversation here is a step toward hope, solidarity, and transformation.

Today, we marked the restart of our journey with the Pamamahandi Ritual and a Catholic Blessing — a meaningful convergence of Indigenous tradition and faith.

Rooted in the belief that true entrepreneurship honors both the land and the spirit, Pamamahandi offers gratitude, seeks guidance, and aligns our work with the rhythm of the community and creation.

𝗞𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝗖𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 — 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿, 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻!

After more than a year of paused operations, we’re thrilled to reopen our doors this August 2, just in time for the BMD (Bukidnon Mission District) celebration of the Feast of St. Ignatius--- on the Year of Hope—renewal and bold beginnings.

Kapawa Co. is more than a cafe and store. It’s an entrepreneurial hub, a formation space for young Indigenous leaders, and a quiet revolution of hope and rootedness with our Indigenous partner communities.

We are deeply grateful to all our partners and communities who have believed in this mission and walked with us through every season.
