The Philippines’ dairy sector is gaining renewed momentum as local milk sufficiency rose to 2.22% in 2025, driven by increased carabao milk production and sustained local efforts—an achievement highlighted by food advocate Erwan Heussaff when he featured the DA-Philippine Carabao Center in his FEATR documentary, noting that “every drop of milk carries years of labor and decades of waiting to be recognized,” while urging Filipinos to support and “choose” what is locally produced.
