It all started out of CURIOSITY way back 2013 and grows into passion over time. I feel in love in how intricate the yarn were stitched into a design and leave you wondering the process of making that masterpiece. It was as if PROVOKING my creative side and awakening the artist within me. I began learning and exploring different stitches, making projects and looking for inspiration online, posted

my works on Facebook and that attracted some clients. As a newbie in crocheting, I become aware that my hobby have the potential of generating income. That makes me more inspired and motivated. Setting and meeting goals offers us a lot of personal benefits. It gives structure to our days, provides a focus for our time, adds meaning to our activity and improves our self-esteem. On the flip side, some people use goals to beat themselves up, and when we don’t meet our goals it feels like a broken promise to ourselves that can be hard to get over. It can be helpful in our lives to practice setting goals in areas that are emotionally low-risk, easy and comforting. Crochet is a great place to work on goal setting.

The first step is to take time to ponder what goal you want to set in crochet. The important thing is that the goal is something truly meaningful for you, aligned with your personal values, and feels achievable. If you set a goal to crochet every day but this isn’t feasible with your lifestyle then it’s not the right goal.

There is no better time to crochet then right now. At the time my grandmother taught me, the only people I knew that crocheted were older ladies. Now, people of all ages have caught on to this amazing craft! Kids can be taught the skill and actually enjoy it! About half of the 4th graders that I taught really took off with it. The best was when I got on Zoom with them, and one of the girls showed me the blanket she made at home during Elearning! Kids, teens, new moms, moms and grandparents all crochet these days. Even men have picked up the hobby! Crocheting is great for any gender and any age!

Relaxing
Crocheting is so relaxing. Once you've learned how to do it and feel comfortable with the stitches, it is very calming. It is a great stress reliever because of the repetitive movements.
