The members of the Municipal Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) Guiding Coalition received their certificate of completion on the Municipal Youth Leadership and Governance Program last August 13, 2025 in Maasin City.

With the primary goal of accelerating the reduction of teenage pregnancy in Southern Leyte, the Municipal ASRHR Guiding Coalition showcased the best practices and projects implemented in Malitbog. As one of the ZFF - UNFPA project implementation sites, Dr. Christian Poleรฑo - Municipal Health Officer served as a resource person for the various initiatives implemented including Adolescent Friendly Health Facilities and BeshieTalks.

LGU Malitbog remains committed to sustain existing efforts on the promotion of adolescent health and prevention of teenage pregnancies.

Malitbog LGU undergoes MELLPI PRO Validation
August 11, 2025

The Municipal Nutrition Council, through the leadership of Hon. Mayor Kenneth Blair Oben, undergoes Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI PRO).

The Provincial Nutrition Evaluation Team (PNET) was headed by Mr. Adam Orito (Provincial Nutrition Program Coordinator) and was assisted by Maria Luz Gaviola (Agricultural Technologist). The team was received by Dr. Christian Poleรฑo (MHO / MNAO Designate) and Maโ€™am Janette Oben (Nurse I / Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator).
