Osteoporosis is a key factor in managing patients with fragility fractures

Our society is aging. As populations get older, the incidence of fragility fractures increases, mainly due to osteoporosis. Despite successful surgery, elderly patients might not recover as expected.

Orthogeriatric co-management has proven to yield improved patient outcomes. It considers medical comorbidities such as osteoporosis, cognitive impairment, and physical frailty, which traditional surgical interventions may not adequately account for.
