Local Government Unit of Malungon headed by Reynaldo F. Constantino thru Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Jessie A.Dela Cruz LDRRM Officer/Municipal Administrator-Designate in partnership with Bureau of Fire Protection (Malungon Fire Station) headed by FINSP Mario Ante and Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Rafaida Hernandez successfully conducted the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) in Malungon Public Market headed by Ma’am Marife Cachuela.

3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill conducted this September 11, 2025, at 04:00 p.m., is participated by the vendors of Malungon Public Market.

This activity aimed to enhance our disaster preparedness and response capabilities. Through continued participation, we strengthen our commitment to building a safer and more resilient community.

As the activity ended, LDRRMO Personnel, BFP Malungon and MHO gave their evaluation, recommendation and emphasized the importance of the activity in preparing and responding for the occurrence of earthquake.

(Album 3/3) Malungon Conducts Community Flood Early Warning Training & Drill

LOOK: The Local Government Unit of Malungon, led by Mayor B**g Constantino thru the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by Jessie Dela Cruz, in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA), conducted a Capability Development Training on the Community-Based Flood Early Warning System (CBFEWS) and a Flood Drill on September 2-3, 2025, at Foods and Choices, Poblacion, Malungon, Sarangani Province.

The Local Government Unit of Malungon, under the leadership of Mayor Reynaldo "B**g" Constantino through the MDRRMO headed by Jessie Dela Cruz, in partnership with DOST-PAGASA, conducted a Capability Development Training on Community-Based Flood Early Warning System (CBFEWS) and a Community Flood Drill last September 2–3, 2025.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of local stakeholders in operating and maintaining the CBFEWS, strengthen coordination among barangay DRRM councils and responders, and test the community’s preparedness through a simulated flood scenario. Highlights of the event included technical lectures and workshops facilitated by DOST-PAGASA, demonstration of warning protocols and communication flow, and the active participation of barangay officials, volunteers, and residents of Sitio Balacayo during the drill.

The pilot drill at Sitio Balacayo, Barangay Poblacion led by Barangay Captain Reynaldo Dela Cuesta showcased strong participation from barangay officials, volunteers, and residents. Evaluators from DOST-PAGASA, DOST Region XII, PSWDO Sarangani, and OCD Region XII gave the activity an overall rating of EXCELLENT 👏👏

Congratulations LDRRMC-Malungon and its response team for a job well done! Special thanks to the barangay officials and council of Barangay Poblacion, response groups composed of different task units of the LDRRMC - MSWDO for Camp Coordination & Camp Management, Health and Nutrition, PNP- Malungon for Law & Order, MQRT, BQRT of Poblacion and Atlae, BFP-Malungon for Search & Rescue, Balacayo Elementary School for the Evacuation Center, and the community of Sitio Balacayo, Barangay Poblacion for your strong cooperation and commitment. The Municipality of Malungon headed by Hon. Reynaldo F. Constantino (Municipal Mayor/ MDRRMC Chairperson) and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office headed by Jessie A. Dela Cruz (MDRRM Officer/ Municipal Administrator-Designate) in partnership with Bureau of Fire Protection – Malungon headed by FINSP Mario Ante conducted 10 Day Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) – First Responder Training on Standard First Aid, Basic Life Support, Firefighting and Basic Rope Techniques to Malungon ARMY Reservist headed by LTC Romeo A Peria PA (RES) (Battalion Commander, 1203RRIBn) last July 26 - August 24, 2025 at Malungon Balay Silangan Reformatory Center, Poblacion, Malungon, Sarangani Province.

The 10-day training, aimed to build readiness and resilience – prepare individuals, communities, and organizations to effectively respond to natural or human-made disasters.

Eighty (80) participants (36) Army Reservist and (44) Aspirants has successfully completed a comprehensive 10-day Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) – First Responder Training on Standard First Aid, Basic Life Support, Firefighting and Basic Rope Techniques.

The Municipality of Malungon headed by Hon. Reynaldo F. Constantino (Municipal Mayor/ MDRRMC Chairperson) and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office headed by Jessie A. Dela Cruz (MDRRM Officer/ Municipal Administrator-Designate) in partnership with Bureau of Fire Protection – Malungon headed by FINSP Mario Ante conducted Basic First Aid, Basic Life Support, Hailing, Firefighting and Earthquake Drill held on August 26-28, 2025, at Luis Casiple Sr. Integrated School headed by Sir Abraham Aguilar Sr.

Students and Teachers of Luis Casiple Sr. Integrated School participated in the said event as they performed the “DUCK, COVER and HOLD” and the six (6) Phases of earthquake drill to show support on disaster awareness, preparedness, and response. They also participated in demonstrating the different kinds and usage of bandaging techniques, demonstrate Basic Life Support, Hailing and Firefighting. This activity aimed to enhance our disaster preparedness and response capabilities.

Thirty (30) Junior Quick Reponse Team (JQRT) has successfully completed a comprehensive 3-day training in Basic First Aid, Basic Life Support, Hailing, Firefighting and Earthquake Drill.
