The Municipality of Malungon headed by Hon. Reynaldo F. Constantino (Municipal Mayor/ MDRRMC Chairperson) and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office headed by Jessie A. Dela Cruz (MDRRM Officer/ Municipal Administrator-Designate) in partnership with Bureau of Fire Protection – Malungon headed by FINSP Mario Ante conducted Basic First Aid, Basic Life Support, Hailing, Firefighting and Earthquake Drill held on August 12-14, 2025, at Datal Bila Integrated School headed by Sir Romel A. Zamora.

Students and Teachers of Datal Bila Integrated School participated in the said event as they performed the “DUCK, COVER and HOLD” and the six (6) Phases of earthquake drill to show support on disaster awareness, preparedness, and response. They also participated in demonstrating the different kinds and usage of bandaging techniques, demonstrate Basic Life Support, Hailing and Firefighting. This activity aimed to enhance our disaster preparedness and response capabilities.

Forty (40) Junior Quick Reponse Team has successfully completed a comprehensive 3-day training in Basic First Aid, Basic Life Support, Hailing, Firefighting and Earthquake Drill.

The Municipality of Malungon headed by Hon. Reynaldo F. Constantino (Municipal Mayor/ MDRRMC Chairperson) and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office headed by Jessie A. Dela Cruz (MDRRM Officer/ Municipal Administrator-Designate) successfully conducted the 3-day Basic Swift Water Rescue Techniques cm Basic Mountain Search and Rescue Techniques training on August 12-14, 2025, held at Barangay Datal Bila, Malungon Sarangani Province.

The said training is facilitated by the trained MDRRMO personnel of Malungon. The activity/training set forth the importance of mastering essential Knot-tying such as Figure of Eight, bowline, clove hitch and more knot-tying techniques for securing rescue operations. The participants also learned Highline Rope Set-up and Rope River Crossing Techniques, a key skill for navigating Swift waters. This is in preparation to the occurrence of any unwanted circumstance that is made by flash flood from the upper valleys or due to heavy rainfall.

Twenty Seven (27) participants has successfully completed a comprehensive 3-day training in Basic Swift Water Rescue Techniques cm Basic Mountain Search and Rescue Techniques.
The Barangay Quick Response Team Members of Barangay Datal Bila steered by Hon. Andy D. Matchoca (Brgy. Captain) are now capacitated to handle real life river rescue & mountain rescue scenarios.
