𝗕𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗭𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝘇𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 🚑✨

Yesterday, May 5, 2026, marks a significant milestone for the community of Zaragoza. We are proud to announce the official turnover of our new medical motor vehicle held at the DOH DCHD Compound.

Representing the Municipality of Manay and BLGU Zaragoza were Board Member Jossone Michael Dayanghirang, who received the vehicle on behalf of the barangay, along with our proactive OIC Municipal Health Officer, Jenie B. Lahora.

The essential resource was formally awarded by DOH Regional Director Ellenietta Gamolo, alongside Provincial Department of Health Officers, DMOs, and MHOs. We are honored to stand with our fellow recipients from Tarragona, Maco, and Carmen in this collective step toward better health services for the province and region.

This vehicle is more than just a means of transport; it is a lifeline that will ensure faster emergency response and improved medical accessibility for every resident of Zaragoza.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the Department of Health - Davao Center for Health Development (DOH-DCHD). Thank you DOH Central Office, RD Gamolo and the entire Davao Region team, for your unwavering support and for prioritizing the health of our constituents.

We are proud to announce that our Officer-in-Charge, Municipal Health Officer (OIC-MHO), and our Doctor to the Barrios (DTTB) successfully completed the Training on the Updated PhilPEN (Philippine Package of Essential NCD Interventions) Protocol held at the Apo View Hotel, Davao City, last April 28-30, 2026.

This training is vital in strengthening our local response to hypertension, diabetes, and other lifestyle-related diseases. By mastering these updated protocols, our health leaders are better equipped to provide early detection and quality intervention for every patient.

Meeting these standards ensures that our municipality remains eligible for health grants and resources, while proving that our programs—from immunization to maternal care—are actually reaching those who need them most. 📈✅

This afternoon, April 23, our MHO Manay Team was at Purok Laguidong, Barangay San Ignacio to conduct a comprehensive Medical Examination for the personnel of the Headquarters BRAVO (Brahman) Company, 66th (Kabalikat) Infantry Battalion, 10ID, PA.

Ensuring that our soldiers are in peak health is essential, as they are our partners in maintaining peace and order across our municipality. We are proud to support the "Kabalikat" Battalion through regular health monitoring and medical services.

Last April 14, 2026, our dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) gathered at the cozy Honey's Hotel and Restaurant in Mati City for the BHW Pocket Guide Orientation. This specialized session was designed to equip our frontliners with essential tools and updated standards for grassroots service delivery.

The event was attended by our BHW Federated President and HEPO Manager, Ma’am Josephine T. Tuco, RMT. The orientation was followed by a productive HEPO Consultative Meeting, focusing on aligning our health education and promotion strategies for the province.

Huge thanks to the Provincial Health Office for providing learning and professional development for our healthcare workers!
