Instructions for effective self-checking of kidneys at home
Checking kidneys at home is a convenient method to help you monitor your health without going to the hospital. One of the simplest ways to check your kidneys is to observe your urine every day. Normal urine will be clean and clear, without an unpleasant odor. If you notice the following unusual signs in your urine, you should see a doctor for timely examination because this can be a warning from your body about diseases such as glomerulonephritis or urinary tract infections:
Change in urine color: If your urine becomes cloudy or dark yellow, it may be due to the presence of bilirubin, which is a sign of liver disease or dehydration. On the contrary, pink or red urine may be due to blood in the urine, which warns of complications from urinary tract infections or kidney stones.
Foamy urine: The appearance of foam in the urine may be due to protein remaining despite being filtered by the kidneys. This is a clear sign of kidney failure. Greasy or Smelly Urine: If your urine is greasy and has a sweet smell, and you feel a burning sensation when you urinate, this could be a symptom of conditions such as kidney disease or a urinary tract infection.
