Pero ito ang totoo: youโ€™ve gone so far, and you are still worthy of love, rest, and healing.

As an Engineer and advocate for Green Viability Assessment (GVA) at the National Center for Mental Health, I promote sustainable design and policies that create green and safe mental health facilities. This celebration highlights the direct connection between environmental health and mental well-being. Therefore, I encourage everyone to practice CLAYGO (Clean as You Go).

Clean air, green spaces, and eco-conscious practices improve both mental and physical health. Letโ€™s commit to creating healing environments by planting trees, reducing waste, conserving energy, and implementing green infrastructure.
Together, we can build not just structures but also hope. A healthy environment fosters healthy minds. Letโ€™s protect our well-being and our planet, starting today. โ€œGO GREEN: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!โ€

In a significant stride for youth well-being, NCMH Public Health Unit Head and mental health advocate Atty. Jose Marie Iporac recently served as the resource speaker for the much-anticipated 'Responsible 18 (R-18)' Seminar-Workshop in Malabon City. The event, held on September 20, 2025 was organized by the Office of Representative Antolin "Lenlen" A. Oreta III in partnership with the Office of Councilor Jose Lorenzo A. Oreta, reinforcing their commitment to youth empowerment.

Atty. Iporac led the discussion on the vital topic of Mental Health Awareness and outlined the various programs and services offered by the Department of Health (DOH) that are specifically accessible to 18-year-old beneficiaries. His presentation was integral to the seminar, aiming to equip participants with "valuable knowledge" and "practical guidance" on utilizing these essential mental health resources in their daily lives.

The successful seminar emphasizes the growing recognition of the urgency to address mental health challenges among the youth.

The National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) took a powerful stand for patient well-being on September 17 2025, participating in a World Patient Safety Day celebration in Manila's historic Plaza Moriones. Led by Patient Safety Committee Chairperson Dr. Anthony Francis R. Buenafe, the NCMH team transformed their presence into a dynamic advocacy platform, distributing crucial information on child outpatient services and championing the global theme, "Safe care for every child and every family."

The center's active participation, from a symbolic fun run to a vibrant information booth, underscores its deep commitment to community engagement and public health education. This effort highlights the NCMH's core mission to create a nurturing and safe environment that prioritizes the health and development of children from early childhood, reinforcing that "Patient safety from the start!โ€.
