‼️ Both the NBI Cybercrime Division and the DOJ Cybercrime Division have provided immediate assistance in identifying and pursuing the perpetrator of identity theft and unauthorized online medical dispensing.
‼️To the General Public and Potential Fraudsters:
Identity theft and unauthorized online medical dispensing are serious offenses, and we are taking swift and decisive legal action. Both the NBI Cybercrime Division and the DOJ Cybercrime Division have provided immediate assistance in identifying and pursuing the perpetrator. They have also worked directly with Facebook to facilitate the removal of fraudulent accounts.
‼️Let this serve as a clear warning: Any future attempts to impersonate Dr. Diño-Yanga or engage in similar fraudulent activities will face the full extent of the law. We will not hesitate to take aggressive legal action.
‼️ A formal complaint against a perpetrator of identity theft and medical fraud was lodged. A fraudulent page has repeatedly impersonated Dr. Diño-Yanga, falsely representing her and engaging in unauthorized dispensing of medications. This deception has misled the public into believing that Dr. Diño-Yanga prescribed and was selling these medications.
We became aware of this fraud after multiple patients reported purchase of medications from the fake account, under the false impression that they were legitimately prescribed by Dr. Diño-Yanga.
The impersonator actively operates in large Facebook groups, including a group with 82K members, and one with 88.5K members.
This individual comments in these groups, offering “free consultations” and selling medications under Dr. Diño-Yanga’s name.
‼️ This fraudulent activity is not just a legal violation—it is a direct threat to public health. The medications being sold by this impersonator may be dangerous, posing serious risks to unsuspecting patients. Furthermore, this impersonation has harmed Dr. Diño-Yanga’s professional reputation and credibility—something we will not tolerate. This matter has been escalated to law enforcement and legal authorities. We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. If you encounter a fake account impersonating Dr. Diño-Yanga, report it immediately and refrain from engaging.
‼️ Anyone attempting fraud in the future will be held fully accountable.
