In its ongoing commitment to strengthening disaster response capabilities, the Philippine Red Cross Rizal Chapter โ Mandaluyong City Branch continues to invest in equipping its volunteers with life-saving skills.
From October 1 to 4, 2025, volunteers from different PRC chapters participated in a Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) Training, conducted by the PRC National Headquarters. The training was held at the PRC Namayan Warehouse in Mandaluyong City and focused on preparing responders to operate in emergencies involving collapsed buildings and other structural disasters.
Among the trainees was Mr. Arvin Quiapo, a dedicated branch-based volunteer who successfully completed the intensive course. His participation reflects the branchโs ongoing dedication to readiness and resilience in the face of natural and man-made disasters.
The Philippine Red Cross emphasizes that preparedness is a shared responsibility. As disasters can strike at any time, investing in trained volunteers ensures that communities are not only informed but empowered to act quickly and effectively when needed.
