The program involves removal of body toxins derived from food and pollution. Our machines not only drain the toxins but can likewise lift up and trim flabby tummies and heavy thighs. “YJC Beauty and Slim Center was born out of curiosity as well as interest, and our love for business, “says Dr. Me Ying Ho, founder of YJC Beauty and Slim Center. In 1986, she and her two sisters Meju and Mechee Ho went to Hongkong to have their sister’s skin problem treated. They were very surprise and happy with the result, right there and then they decided to put up a skin care and beauty business when they go back to the Philippines, so they took up special courses in skin care treatments and natural slimming and learned the various procedures and techniques including how to use various machines for slimming and treating skin problems
Curiosity urged them to learn more, so they went to Singapore to learn more about their new found interest. So when they came home to the Philippines, they build their own company. Thus, YJC Beauty and Slim Center was born. Their original branch was only 36 square meter located at Rm. 410 Artex Building, 435 Juan Luna St., Binondo Manila with just 3 treatment beds and 2 staff. Dr. Ho recalls that back then she and her 3 sisters were personally rendering their services to their clients. “You have to be ‘hands-on’ in your business. You don’t just have to learn the theories, you have to apply it, literally experience it for you to tick in this business, in fact, in any kind of business.”
Shortly after a year, they decided to develop their own skin care products so they put up Placor Skin Care Company. “We want our services to be personalized, so as our products. When we started, the products were from Hong Kong, they were very good and effective but we want to have our own label. So we hired chemist and pharmacist to formulate and develop our own product lines.”
Due to the success and growing number of clienteles, in 1988 the owners renovated and added a 24 square meter to their 36 square meter area, then in 1998 the center was expanded again to 30 square meter to make a total floor area of 96 square meter this time housing 8 treatment beds. To compliment the owner’s objective of making YJC a one of a kind and one-stop-shop beauty center addressing the every beauty concerns of its clients, cosmetic surgery are added to its roster of services. The owners hired one of the best cosmetic surgeons in the country as partners and consultants. Finally in 2004, the company transferred to a new and bigger place, a 200 square meter area located at Unit 601 Tytana Plaza, 611 Oriente St., Binondo Manila. YJC’s latest offer is mesotherapy. The center never stops in upgrading its services by continuously learning and adapting to the technologies in beautification but still retains and combines with its existing non-surgical services on hair grow, skin bleaching, natural facelift, slimming and pimple treatment to make the result faster, more effective for its client’s satisfaction
