Dear Patients and Parents,

DOH Sec. Duque recently announced that dentists can resume operations but with strict health compliance. With that in mind, we are sorry to announce that OUR CLINIC IS NOT YET COVID- READY. Number of covid-positive patients in our country is escalating, some of them are asymptomatic (carrier). There is no mass testing yet and we have to treat everyone as PUM (patient under monitoring) even after triaging procedures. The Philippine Dental Association came up with new clinic protocols and set-up to ensure the safety of the dentist, dental assistant, dental aides, and patients. Please give us time to modify our clinic to make it a covid-compliant one. We still need to purchase new necessary equipment and machines. And we’re having a hard time in choosing which product is the more approriate one w/ 100% efficacy for the new normal set-up inside our clinics. The supply is limited also, the companies are lacking in manpower and their moves are restricted as well brought about by the ECQ.
Most of our procedures are aerosol generating thus careful modifications and adjustments are necessary to prevent cross-contamination.
(We have families to think about and to care for). Please bear with us at these challenging time. You can PM us w/ regards to your dental concerns.
Thank you! Stay safe everyone. πŸ™πŸ»

Dear patients,

The situation brought about by the COVID-19 disease stopped me from providing dentistry services because I do not have N95 masks, one-time use disposable gowns, and impermeable footwear which are part of the list of appropriate PPE for the prevention of viral spread and are most needed by our Frontliners. I am worried that it may take more weeks or months before the virus is controlled. COVID-19 cases are still rising and I don't want to add more to that. I can give online prescription for analgesic and antibiotic medication if necessary. That's the most I can do as of the moment. Please stay at home and stay healthy.

Non-Dental Causes
Believe it or not, there are times when tooth pain or sensitivity has nothing to do with your teeth at all.

For example, if you have a sinus infection or congestion, you may notice that your teeth feel more sensitive than usual. You may even have pain or discomfort that seems to be coming from several teeth. In fact, the pain is caused by a sinus infection.

This is especially true of your upper teeth because they are located directly under your sinus cavities. Any pressure or pain from your sinuses can affect these teeth.

If your dentist feels that this may be a possibility, he may have you try taking a decongestant to see if symptoms are alleviated or lessened.

Impacted Tooth

Teeth can become impacted when they are prevented from moving into their proper position in the mouth by other teeth, gums, or bone.

The most common teeth to become impacted are wisdom teeth because they are usually the last to erupt. When the jawbone cannot accommodate these extra teeth, the teeth remain stuck under the gum. This impaction can create pressure, pain, and even jaw soreness.

Cracked Tooth

Your teeth can be weakened over time due to pressure from biting and chewing. The force from biting down on a hard object like ice or a popcorn kernel can sometimes cause a tooth to crack.

Symptoms of a cracked tooth may include pain when biting or chewing. It may also be a sensitivity to hot and cold temperatures or to sweet and sour foods. Treatment for this condition will depend on the location and direction of the crack as well as the extent of the damage.
