NSC-CV HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE
Dear valued Newborn Screening Facilities, Courier and Program Partners!
The Newborn Screening Center – Central Visayas (NSC-CV) send out this memorandum to provide you with the schedule of operations of the Center in observance to the celebration of the HOLY WEEK pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 727 and Memorandum Circular No. 81 (Work Suspension).
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• We strongly recommend that you closely coordinate with the courier service to ensure timely delivery of your ENBS samples before the holiday closure.
• For ENBS samples collected during the holiday, please store them in a cool, dry and pest free location away from direct sunlight and humidity. Once courier services resume in your area, immediately endorse the dried blood samples for pick up.
NSC-CV REOPENING: The NSC-CV will resume normal operations on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Dear valued Newborn Screening Facilities, Courier, and Program Partners!

The Newborn Screening Center – Central Visayas (NSC-CV) send out a memorandum to provide you with the schedule of operations of the Center in observance to the “ALL SAINTS’ DAY AND ALL SOULS’ DAY” pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 368 and Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 67 which hereby directs the suspension of work on 31st of October 2024 starting at 12:00 pm for all constituent offices. Work on the aforesaid date after 12:00 PM is suspended.”

An Information Drive on Newborn Screening was conducted in the Out-patient Department of the host facility, Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital as part of the celebration of the Newborn Screening Awareness Week. It is a collaborative activity with ECSGH’s Health Education and Promotion Office.

The Newborn Screening Center – Central Visayas (NSC-CV) send out this memorandum to provide you with the schedule of operations of the Center in observance to the “NATIONAL FAMILY WEEK” pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 64, which declared the last week of September of every year as Family, that those who work in government offices in the Executive branch shall be suspended from 3:00 pm in the afternoon onwards on Monday, 23 September 2024.

Please be informed that the Newborn Screening Center – Central Visayas (NSC-CV) will have no operation in observance to the celebration of ARAW NG KALAYAAN AND EID AL-ADHA pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 368 and Presidential Proclamation No. 579.

We strongly recommend that you closely coordinate with your preferred courier branch with regards to their status of operations so you can send out your ENBS blood samples on time. For NBS samples obtained within this holiday, make it certain that these be kept in an adequate storage away from direct heat/humid atmosphere, dry and free from infestation. Immediately endorse these Dried Blood Samples to courier services when courier services commence in your area.

In observance to the Araw ng Kagitingan and Eid’l Fitr pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 368 and Proclamation No. 514, the Newborn Screening Center - Central Visayas will be closed on April 9 and 10, 2024.

We strongly recommend that you closely coordinate with your preferred courier branch with regards to their status of operations so you can send out your ENBS blood samples on time. For NBS samples obtained within these holidays, make it certain that these be kept in an adequate storage away from direct heat/humid atmosphere, dry and free from infestations.

ERRATUM TO NSC–CV’S SCHEDULE OF OPERATIONS for March 27, 2024

Please be advised that there was a changed of schedule on March 27, 2024 as the last day of acceptance of NBS Samples until 12:00 PM due to the release of Presidential Memorandum Circular 45 states that work in government offices is hereby suspended from 12:00 PM onwards to provide government employees full opportunity to properly observe Maundy Thursday and Good Friday on 28-29 March 2024 and to allow them to travel to and from different regions in the country.
