🫱🏻‍🫲🏾 TABOK HELPS, THE NORTH HEALS 🫱🏻‍🫲🏾

Tabokanons, we are humbly knocking on your hearts. Our brothers and sisters in the northern part of Cebu, especially in Bogo City, were deeply affected by the recent earthquake. Many of them lost not just their homes, but also their sense of peace and comfort.

If you have anything to share like clothes, food, water, or any items that can help them start again, please drop them off at our Barangay Hall. For now, we are not accepting cash donations due to some private reasons, but your goods will go a long way in bringing hope to those who need it most.

As for the trips bound to the north, we are still gathering enough goods to fill our transport. Once we’ve collected as much as we can, we’ll be heading there to deliver your love and support, all in one meaningful trip.

Together, let’s show that even in hard times, Tabokanons stand united with hearts full of care and compassion. ❤️

❤️‍🩹 SKEPTRONS, SERVE WITH HEART ❤️‍🩹

October 4, 2025, the Alpha Kappa Rho, Beta Tau, Tabok Chapter showed what true brotherhood means as they extended their hands to Medellin, which was also affected by the recent earthquake. Despite the challenges, they didn’t hesitate to respond, bring aid and comfort to those in need.

The trip was facilitated by Ryan Sanchez, Grand Skeptron and also a DART Personnel, they stood side by side, proving that unity and compassion shine the brightest in times of disaster. It wasn’t just about giving help, it was about showing love, courage, and hope when people needed it the most.

🫂 HELPING HANDS, NEVER PAUSED 🫂

October 3, 2025, two members of the Disaster Alert Response Team didn’t think twice to volunteer and go to the north to help the people affected by the recent earthquake. Together with the INTRSL Volunteers, which are composed of students from different schools, they brought relief goods. But more than that, they brought hope, care, and comfort to those who were hurting and trying to start again.

Even under the burning heat of the sun, and later when the rain started to fall, they didn’t stop. They didn’t think of how tired they were or how hard it was, they just kept going, because they knew people were waiting for help. It was really touching to see how they chose to help with so much heart.

In times like this, it’s easy to feel hopeless, but seeing people like them reminds us that kindness is still alive. Sometimes, heroes are not those in movies, they’re the ones who show up, even when it’s hard, just to make someone’s day a little better.

🙏🏻 NORTH STANDS, EVEN THE EARTH SHAKES 🙏🏻

The Disaster Alert Response Team has reached out to lend a little help to our brothers and sisters in the North, because of the devastating earthquake that struck last September 30.

But let us also not forget the neighboring towns namely; Sogod, San Remigio, Tabuelan, Tabogon, Santa Fe, Madridejos, Medellin, Daanbantayan, and Bantayan Island, who are equally in pain and in great need.

In moments like this, unity is our greatest strength. For those who are capable, we humbly appeal to your kind hearts, they are in urgent need of water, food, and comfort.

The quake may have shaken our land, but it will never break the spirit of a people who stand together.

Tabokanons, our ambulance is currently in Bogo City to extend some help for our brothers and sisters who were badly affected by the earthquake that struck last night.

Rest assured, our Rescue 2 unit is still available and ready to respond to any emergencies in our community.

Congratulations to one of our dedicated Ambulance Crew members, Akira Atillo, for proudly bringing home 3rd Place in the DRRM Resilience Drive Quizbowl!

This achievement was made possible together with the amazing representatives from Barangay Casuntingan, Barangay Tingub, and Barangay Maguikay. Truly, teamwork and resilience go hand in hand.

Before the adrenaline settles, here’s a look at the brave men and women behind those PPEs who make it all possible.

Though we didn’t secure a spot in the competition, instead we gained something greater, lessons to improve and grow stronger.

🔥 A DAY OF TEAMWORK AND PASSION 🔥

Today was a meaningful day for the Disaster Alert Response Team as we joined the ERT Challenge organized by the Mandaue City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) at Pajara Park, Mandaue City.

The challenge tested our skills in Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), two areas that truly matter when it comes to saving lives. It wasn’t just about competition, but about learning, pushing our limits, and working as one team under pressure.

We are deeply grateful to our Councilor and BDRRMO Chairperson Tranquilino Tarriman, VAWC Head Edilberto Osabel and Team Facilitator Apil Perez for standing with us during the event. Their presence and support reminded us that the work we do is always bigger than ourselves, it’s about protecting people and keeping our communities safe.

More than the drills and the challenges, today was also about building stronger bonds, sharing knowledge, and reminding ourselves why we chose this path of service. At the heart of it all is one purpose: to be ready, to respond, and to care for others when they need it most.
