Waterbirth morning! 🌊👶🙏

A beautiful 3.4kg baby was delivered through the water this morning! It is amazing to witness the body’s strength during water birth as the warm water helped relax the muscles and soften the perineal tissue making it more stretchable, mommy was able to deliver her baby smoothly and only sustained a first degree laceration!

As an OBGYN, we do not only deliver babies but we also do surgeries such as hysterectomy.

This is a uterus with cervix and bilateral adnexae of a 48 year old who underwent hysterectomy due to heavy bleeding caused by submucous myoma. Thank you Lord for the guidance. ❤️🙏🙏

Another one for the books:

Vaginal Breech Delivery!

This patient from Leyte came in to my clinic at 37 2/7 weeks for VBAC. Ultrasound was persistently breech, so she was advised for c-section at 39 weeks.

Fast forward to 39 6/7 weeks, she went to the labor room at 8cm! So we had no choice but to deliver the baby breech. Praise God for a safe and smooth vaginal breech delivery.

PS- to be honest i almost had a heart attack. 😅 but it was super fullfilling at the same time to be able to have accomplished this. (First breech delivery in 3 years in the institution).

Thank you Lord for allowing me to be your instrument and for being with me all the way.🥹🙏❤️
